Maureen Mizerak – Executive Director Wadsworth YMCA
Maureen is the Executive Director of the Wadsworth YMCA, which is part of the Akron Area YMCA Association. She has 35 years’ experience in nonprofit work, 27 of them with the YMCA. Maureen is a graduate of Leadership Medina in 2010, and currently serves on the Downtown Wadsworth, Inc., Organizational Committee. She believes in giving back to the community and the Y is one way for her to do that. The Senior Walk allows people of many backgrounds to come together to celebrate life and health in a community atmosphere!
The Y is a nonprofit, 501 c-3 charity, dedicated to nurturing the potential in everyone, improving the nation’s health regardless of the age and giving support our neighbors. The Senior Walk allows the Y to participate in this event in an effort to give back to the community and show the community that the Y addresses community issues such as diabetes prevention, obesity prevention and cardiac health. We are proud to be a part of this event!
Maureen lives in Strongsville, Ohio with her husband of 29 years and their myriad of animals.
